Refugee Resettlement

Friendship Partner
Loneliness is one of the greatest challenges refugees face in America, so good friends are greatly in need. Get to know a refugee family and help them adapt to America by providing consistent friendship and cultural empowerment.

Health Advocate
Connect refugees to the health care many have been denied for so long. Transport to appointments, advocate for a family’s medical well-being, and teach refugees how to navigate the American medical system.

Collection Project Coordinator
Organize your family, friends, small group, or church to gather household items for Good Neighbor Kits, school backpacks for refugee children, diapers, or phone cards.

Airport Pick-Up Assistant
Greet refugees when they first arrive to Chicago and orient them to their new home. Refugees never forget the first smiling faces they see in America!

Apartment Set-Up Assistant
If you have a big heart and strong arms, we are looking for you! Help create a home for newly-arrived families by delivering furniture to refugee apartments.

Youth Club Volunteer
Build relationships with refugee kids through one of our many youth programs happening throughout the week. Whether you like soccer, art, mentoring or helping with homework, we have a place for you!

Enrollment Assistant
Empower new refugee students for life in America by helping them enroll in their new school. Get to know refugee parents and children along the way.

Speakers Bureau Member
Do you love public speaking? This is an opportunity to learn how to educate our neighbors about refugees and immigrants, World Relief, and other related topics. We are looking for volunteers who feel passionate about advocacy to help speak out for the rights of refugees and immigrants!
